Good Piano DVD
Lessons
Learning an instrument is a great way to not only expand your mind and push your creativity, but also to spend
your time in a more productive way. Learning an instrument will do more for your brain than sitting in front of the
television staring mindlessly at a program with no interaction involved. It is easy, too!
With the new wave of ultra-portable lessons in DVD form, you can take your lessons wherever you go so that you
are never without a way to continue your musical learning.
In this article, we will discuss some good piano DVD lessons available on the market to get you started off on
the right foot fast.
The first on our list is the Learn and Master Piano system. As with all the other Learn and Master systems, the
Learn and Master Piano system is a complete, in depth program that
will take you from the beginner stages of no musical knowledge to the more experiences levels of musical knowledge
and skill. This set is huge, and as such it will take you a fair amount of time to get through and will cost you a
fair amount of money.
However, in comparison with one on one music lessons, this set is much cheaper overall and will bring you
farther than most systems that are offered on the market today. You get a plethora of CDs, DVDs and workbooks, and
lessons taught by great teachers who know the instrument inside and out and will help you along the way, breaking
down concepts step by step into easily manageable pieces.
You will learn all about chords and scales, how to position your hands when playing and how to differentiate
your right hand from your left hand when playing a piece. You will also learn about different genres of music, and
how to play to fit different progressions and other concepts that are dire to any piano player.
The second on our list is The Piano System by Nate Bosch. Bosch is a great pianist, and an even better teacher.
This system, just like the Learn and Master Piano system will help you from the start, getting you prepped for some
of the more experienced concepts of piano music, then easing you in so that you are able to learn comfortably and
without the feeling of being rushed head first into advanced theories.
Not only will you learn chords and scales and the basics of hand positioning, but you will also learn how to
build your own music through the techniques and concepts that you learn along the way. Bosch is a very competent
teacher who knows how to explain things so that you understand them and are able to use the lessons—and there in
and of itself is the most important part; being able to use what you are taught and put it to use.
Now that you know a couple of good piano DVD lessons, the next step is up to you. While these two are our
personal favorites, don’t simply take our word; explore your options if these sets don’t feel quite right for you.
Good luck!
